Last week Castle Point MP Rebecca Harris, met with a range of pupils from all year groups who have participated in the Brilliant Club’s Scholars Programme. Rebecca discussed the programme in great detail, gaining an insight into the ways in which pupils have enhanced their learning with skills such as planning extended essay writing, researching and referencing. Above all, she was most impressed with our pupils’ confidence and determination to attend a highly selective university one day themselves. Without fail, the panel spoke eloquently and lucidly about their visits to universities, the various courses undertaken and the exciting graduation events at Cambridge University. Altogether an inspiring afternoon.
